The more we listen to others, the less alone we feel. When we share our experience, an incredible thing happens — other people do as well. Fear can often stop us from reflecting on the moments in our life that define our trajectory. I want to break down the walls we put up and celebrate how incredible all of our stories are, shining light on the ordinary is where beauty lives.
When I left my tech career to write my mother’s story, I had no way of knowing where the adventure would lead me. After writing my book, I was encouraged to write a bigger book to include my story as well. That’s when it clicked for me; our ability to understand and accept our mothers and their stories is part of learning to accept ourselves.
You might wonder, why listen to a podcast about people sharing their childhood memories and their life experience? Because all of us long to be connected to the people and the world around us. They are conversations about belonging and acknowledging the essence of the human experience.
